Super Besse
The modern resort of Super-Besse lies between 1350 and 1850m on the southern slopes of Le Puy de Sancy, 7 km above the villages of Besse and Saint-Anastaise. Winter sports here include the gentle & scenic but surprisingly hilly downhill ski area, and the quiet and secluded cross country trails.
Its position at the base of the pistes makes Super Besse a natural winter sports resort, offering all the pleasures of skiing & boarding as well as all the little extras essential for cosy evenings.
The south facing area provides 45km of pistes (85km with the liaison with Mont-Dore, or 120km with the Nordic area of Besse/Pavin), 24 pistes (5 green, 6 blue, 9 red, 4 black), 22 lifts (1 six seater gondola, 4 chairlifts including one with moving carpet, 16 drag lifts, 1 free rope tow in the beginners’ area), 1 free-ride area.).
