Set on a sandstone spur of the Estérel massif, overlooking the Argens and Reyran valleys, Fréjus is a small Provencal town whose recent extension stretches down to the sea.
Halfway between Cannes and St Tropez (20min), this cultural centre boasts a rich historical and architectural heritage which has earned it the award of the title ‘Ville d’Art et d’Histoire’.
Located in the centre of a unique, sheltered bay, Fréjus enjoys all year round a superb living environment and a remarkable range of pleasant and relaxing activities: the ‘perfume and fragrance trail’, cycling, mountain biking, walks or horse rides through the deep forests, to gardens full of flowers, romantic strolls between the Maures and the Estérel, an invitation to daydream.

• Monuments: The ‘Groupe Épiscopal’ including: the Cathedral, the ancient Baptistery – of exceptional interest as it is one of the oldest Christian monuments of Gaul, the Cloisters.
The Chapelle Notre Dame de Jérusalem – Porte des Gaules (west gate of the old town) – Porte d’Orée – La Villa Aurélienne.
The amphitheatre: one of the biggest amphitheatres in Gaul, – the Roman Theatre – the Roman ramparts.
• Museums: Archaeological Museum, Museum of local history and traditions, Naval Museum.
• Open spaces: the Estérel: numerous marked tracks (for walking and biking) surrounded by a rich variety of Mediterranean plant species, so that nature lovers can get right into the heart of this exceptional area.
• Nature centre: activity centre and protected beauty spot. Marinas: Port de Fréjus, Saint Raphaël and Port Saint Aygulf.
