Evian is situated in the north of the department of Haute Savoie, on the southern shore of Lake Léman, looking across to Switzerland (Lausanne). The town is built in tiers up the hillside on the edge of the lake (altitude 370m/725m), on the slopes of the Chablais massif of the Pre-Alps.
Evian enjoys a spectacular setting between lake and mountains which has earned it international renown as a holiday venue (thermal spa, lakeside holiday and health resort, conference centre,...).
Home to the world famous Eau Minérale Naturelle bearing its name, Evian has sought to preserve and exploit part of its architectural heritage presenting a welcoming & dynamic face to its visitors.
