Lille

Merchant city since its origins, Lille is called “La Capitale des Flandres”  (the capital city of the Flanders region) and is well-known for its architectural treasures. Proud of its festive and culinary traditions, Lille remains a human-sized city and reflects the generosity and the warmth of its locals.

Did you know ?

The well-known “Braderie de Lille” took place until recently on the Monday following the first Sunday of September. It used to be a bank holiday for locals. It stems from an old tradition which allowed household workers to sell to their benefit used clothes and items belonging to their masters on this occasion.

The Line 12 “université catholique” bus stop and bike station are very close by and subway stations like République Beaux Arts (line 1) and Cormontaigne (line 2) are only a few minutes away.
