Martigues, a picturesque fishing town built on the water often referred to as "the Venice of Provence", was created in 1581, when three smaller towns were joined together. Its three section (Jonquière, l’Ile, and Ferrières) are known for their colorful houses and are connected by bridges, one of which is moveable. The canal connects the Etang de Berre with the Mediterranean. As a fishing village, its regional dishes all come fresh from the sea. This island town in Provence is a fishing port, marina, seaside resort, and water sports center.

The town center of Carro is just minutes away. Everything at Cap Bleu has been designed with your tranquility in mind: the road network goes around the edges of the grounds, leaving the center free for pedestrian use only.
